Split one Water Purification Plant's energy supply across its eight purification units. The plant draws the sum of every active unit's EU/t × parallels through its own energy hatches.
0.90 = each unit's 900 L output fully feeds the next unit's 1000 L input at 100% success. Lower it to leave room for failed batches.

Values from GT5-Unofficial at the GTNH 2.8.4 tag. Every unit recipe takes 1000 L of the previous grade and returns 900 L on success, over one 120 s plant cycle. Only water and power scale with parallels; ozone, filters, lenses and other consumables do not.
Plant draw per tick is Σ(unit EU/t × effective parallels) × 10000 / max(1000, efficiency). Efficiency drops 10% per maintenance problem, so each problem raises the draw. Effective parallels are capped by the water in the unit's input hatch, so a starved unit draws less than planned.
Typing a parallel count in Equal or Chain mode locks that unit; the rest of the budget goes to unlocked units. A failed batch returns lower-grade water, so real throughput depends on each unit's success chance.
